Ms. Poonam is an experienced counselling and career psychologist, practising in this field since 2001. She started her journey working as a Family Therapist in a Drug De-addiction Centre which involved in clientele clinical intake and family intervention program. Then she worked in a Psychological Centre-Drishti- and gained wide range of experience in the conducting various types of psychometrics assessment (like IQ and EQ, developmental, psych educational assessment, career and personality profiling).

She is passionate about testing and expertise in her field till date. She is also involved into counselling program across all age groups, creating awareness and training program for teachers, students and parents; and employee assistance program. She is involved in clinical interviews and assessments, counselling, clinical diagnosis of different childhood disorders and emotional -behavioural concerns.

She progressively moved her way up to become an independent practitioner and consultant in 2013 both in and outside Mumbai with her team of psychologist, special educator, speech and occupational therapist and developmental paediatrician. As a believer in a multi-disciplinary approach, she has partnered with Ms. Mukta since 2015.

Currently, she is working on independent projects which involves diverse scope. She has rendered her services to different sectors like schools (across all boards in Mumbai), hospital, child guidance centres (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Goa), IT sectors and shipping company, etc. She has conducted special need awareness programmes in many cities in India – Mumbai, Vapi, Nashik, Kolhapur and Pune, and is accustomed to different work cultures.

She is associated with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited as one of the panel member on Personal Interview Selection Board as a Psychologist in an advisory capacity during the selection process. She is entitled to practice under the “Rehabilitation Council of India” since 2009.
