Occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of health care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. It can help them regain independence in all areas of their lives. It helps boosts their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. It helps people increase their functional independence in daily life while preventing or minimizing disability. OT is often used in combination with other treatment including Physical therapy and / or Sensory Integration therapy.

Sensory integration therapy aims to help kids with sensory processing issues (also referred as “sensory integration disorder”) by exposing them to sensory stimulation in a structured, repetitive way.
